Employee Spotlight: Kathy Parsons, CNA

Posted on:

When you join the Lee Health & Rehab Center family, you’ll be inspired by colleagues who embody our mission of providing peace of mind to those we care about: residents, families, and employees. Our staff is dedicated to the care and recovery of our patients and residents. Whether you are here to settle in or looking for a speedy, complete rehabilitation, our expertise, training, and skills are at your service.

On behalf of Lee Health & Rehab Center, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Kathy Parsons, CNA:

Kathy Parsons has been with Lee Health & Rehab Center since 2007, after obtaining her CNA license from Mountain Empire. She is highly respected by employees and all those who are privileged to work with her. Along with being a CNA mentor, she is involved in the Center’s Service Excellence Initiative while being an inspiration to the program because she truly “walks the walk and talks the talk” of excellence.

Kathy loves to take the residents to football and baseball games, corn mazes, and other off-campus activities. She has such a kind heart that she took one of the residents out on their birthday to celebrate. During November and December, Stallard Hall quickly morphs into a winter wonderland with the volunteer efforts of Kathy and the Stallard staff.

In her free time, she enjoys fishing, going on bus tours with her family, artwork, and is excited about taking on a new adventure through cruises. When asked what keeps her motivated to do what she does, she said, “My greatest reward as a CNA is seeing our residents’ faces light up when you participate with them in activities and outings. It’s a joyous feeling knowing you brought a smile to their face and joy to their hearts.”

Lee Health and Rehab Center is lucky to have Kathy on Team Lee.
